Behind the Feature: Municipal Grand in Architectural Record

We’re delighted to share that Municipal Grand has been featured in the October 2025 issue of Architectural Record, one of the world’s leading design publications.

The article, written by Patrick Templeton with photography by Brooke Holm, explores AAmp Studio’s thoughtful restoration of our 1960s modernist building — once the First Federal Savings & Loan Association — into the boutique hotel you see today.

It’s an honour to see the story of our transformation recognised among some of the most notable adaptive reuse projects internationally. The piece highlights how AAmp balanced preservation and modern comfort, describing the result as “Southern comfort and hospitality through material warmth, vibrancy, and softness.”
